Shamil Bank of Bahrain B.S.C., a leading Islamic commercial and investment bank and member of Ithmaar banking group announced the opening of a new branch in Um Al Hassam. The outlet was officially inaugurated by Shamil Bank Chief Executive Mohamed Hussain. The new branch in Um Al Hassam is the eighth in Shamil Bank’s growing retail network of branches in the Kingdom of Bahrain.
Speaking on the occasion Mr. Mohamed Hussain said that “The new branch is a move towards getting even closer to customers in every way possible. “Um Al Hassam was chosen for the new branch location in response to growing customer demand in that part of Manama. It is also a very important commercial area and in fact there is no bank in the immediate vicinity, specifically on the stretch of road, near the Hong Kong Chinese restaurant, where our branch is located. We aim to serve both our consumer and corporate clients in and around the Um Al Hassam area.”
Hussain added that the interior of the new branch is contemporary in terms of design features, with the overall ambience friendly and welcoming. “We have implemented space planning in coming up with the design, which is a new concept in customer services”, he said.
The Bank said that its new Um Al Hassam Branch is a full service branch, including an onsite ATM. Shamil Bank has been announcing impressive profit growth year-to-date, with a record net profit of US$53.2 million for the six months ended June 30, 2007.
