A leading Islamic commercial bank has tied-up with one of Bahrain’s most recognised travel agents and a top Islamic insurance provider to create an exciting promotion on holiday packages.

Shamil Bank, a leading Bahrain-based Islamic commercial bank and a wholly-owned subsidiary of Ithmaar Bank, Al Fanar Travel, a leading global travel services and solutions provider, and Solidarity General Takaful, a wholly-owned subsidiary of Solidarity Group and a member of the Ithmaar banking group signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) with to formally start the promotion on Sunday (ed note: 22 November 2009).

The Promotion, which continues until 31 July 2010, allows Shamil Bank credit and debit card customers discounted holiday packages as well as Sharia-compliant travel insurance at discounted rates when they pay with their cards.

The MOU was signed by Shamil Bank Assistant General Manger Mohammed Janahi, Jawad Group Corporate Division Manager, Kareem Jawad, for Al Fanar Travel and Solidarity General Takaful Assistant General Manager Viswaprasad K.C.
